Leadership Change in Zimbabwe

08.05.2007

On Sunday, 29 April 2007, District Apostle Kitching officially handed Zimbabwe over to District Apostle Ndandula to form part of the Zambia District Church. District Apostle Ndandula, accompanied by District Apostle Helper Mhango from Malawi, participated in two divine services conducted by District Apostle Kitching as part of the occasion. The morning service was in Eastlea (Harare), while an afternoon service was held in a hired hall in Bulawayo.

It was decided to hand Zimbabwe over to the Zambia Apostle District since there are more natural links between the two countries. The churches here already in the past formed part of a common district and today much cross-border interaction continues to take place. Zambia also has a great amount of office bearers to assist in the growth required in Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe currently has 155 congregations looked after by Apostle Jan Welman who is assisted by Bishop Daniel Mulemba.
