Special Treat For Mothers
The Youth of Toekomsrus congregation, a small congregation on the Westrand and with limited resources, prepared a surprise lunch to treat the mothers on Mothers Day. Great was the surprise of the mothers when they saw the venue. The Youth rented a tent with tables and chairs and decorated the tables, which was neatly set with chocolates, flowers and a special Mother's Day card. True to the culture, the members spontaneously sang hymns to express their joy. Most of the mothers are choir members. The significance of the event is that since the existence of this congregation, this was the first event that the Youth of Toekomsrus had arranged.

Sunday School Outing
On Saturday, 21 April 2007, the Sunday School children of Malvern congregation, Durban, enjoyed various outings. First was a visit to the “Duck n Deck” animal farm in Hillcrest where they could feed and stroke the animals. The children also enjoyed a pony ride and played on the jungle gym. They then left for Pietermaritzburg where they enjoyed lunch at the Wimpy, which was followed by a visit to the Natal Museum. Here they learned some of the history of South Africa, how people lived in the olden days, our various cultures, as well as seeing a variation of birds, animals, insects, and reptiles.
