White River District had a combined Sunday School service on 24 May 2009 in Mashudu.  The service was conducted by District Evangelist Nkosi and he ministered to 62 children based on Luke 4:3-4. The children participated gladly during the service under the theme: ‘You are what you eat’.  

It was explained that spiritually, if you "eat" the word of God regularly you will be blessed, because it is the best food.  This Jesus explained clearly during the time when He was tempted by Satan, who asked Him to change stones into bread.

The children were given oranges after service and encouraged to buy fruit instead of sweets from their pocket money!
