Visit to Pretoria Zoo

The Friends of the Pretoria Zoo organization once a month offer visitors from far and near the opportunity to enjoy a 5km fun walk through the zoo. On Saturday, 17 February 2007, twelve Sunday School children of the Hartbeespoort congregation and their teachers accepted the invitation. En route the children loved becoming acquainted with the variety of animal species, all special in their own unique way. After completing the 5km walk everyone received a beautiful medal to remind them of the trip. Hunger pains set in and it was time to find the perfect spot to have a picnic. At the picnic spot behind where the Hartbeespoort group gathered a group in scarlet red T-shirts caught the eye. They were 23 Sunday School children of the Gezina congregation, who also happened to participate in the 5km walk. Beautifully dressed in red designer "Proudly New Apostolic" T-shirts, the young ones created some public awareness for our church. But the day was about the children enjoying the animals, and learning to appreciate our Heavenly Father's wonderful works of creation.

Easter Presentation

On Sunday, 11 March 2007, the children of Benoni congregation gave a presentation called “The Easter Story”. This was in preparation for the forthcoming festive period of Easter. The presentation consisted of recitation and song. The event was a wonderful reminder, not only of the great sacrifice of Jesus Christ, but also of the significant victory that has secured us reconciliation with God.
