Phoenix Congregation
On 15 & 16 June 2007 the Sunday School Children of Phoenix congregation had
a sleep over at the Sunday School co-ordinators house, Sister Bridget Naidoo.
Most of the children attended the sleepover which started with a braai the
Friday evening accompanied by lots of fun and entertainment. On the Saturday
Shepherd Rohith closed the day with having a late lunch with them, and all went
back after a wonderful weekend. Durban Central District
The Sunday School children, office bearers and Sunday School teachers from
Durban Central District, converged on Durban Central congregation on Friday 22
June 2007, for an evening of various activities. After eating boerewors rolls
the Sunday School children were divided into four teams: ‘Bishops’, ‘Priests’,
‘Evangelists’ and ‘Shepherds’. The first of 5 games saw the children try and
guess the titles of hymns in true ‘Noot vir Noot’ style, with clues on the board
and tunes being played on an organ. The children proved that they are very eager
to learn and know everything about their New Apostolic faith.
Welkom and Bloemfontein Areas
On 3 and 17 June 2007, the Bishop Petersen conducted Sunday School services for
the children of the greater Welkom as well as the Bloemfontein areas
respectively. The theme for these services were “How God touches our lives and
how we can touch Him through our offerings”. The text out of Mark 10:13 was used
as a basis for these services.
