News in Brief
Donation
For about 15 years a classroom in the Wilhelmina Hoskins Primary School served
as a venue for the Riverlea Ext congregation. To show sincere appreciation for
the use of the classroom, the church gave a donation for use in the sick bay of
the school. On 21 August Bishop Petersen handed over the items to Mr. Cresswell,
the school principal, in the presence of the teachers.
Music Evening
On Friday evening, 25 August 2006, 17 Youth and children of the Bosmont District
who play orchestral instruments played at the Turffontein Congregational Church
Music Evening.
Mothers
Day
The choir members and the Sunday School children of Jeppestown congregation
visited the “moms” at the Millennium Centre. The visit was much appreciated and
the children enjoyed singing for the grand-“mothers” present.
