News In Brief

Service for the Departed in Mabopane
On Sunday, 2 November 2008, District Apostle Kitching, accompanied by Apostle Joubert, visited the District of Mapopane to conduct the Service for the Departed.  This was the first time that the District Apostle conducted a Departed Service in this region.  Mabopane District is situated about 40 km north of Pretoria.  After no other venue such as a local hall could be acquired for the service, Mapopane congregation – the “mother congregation” of the area – was chosen which could accommodate around 200 members.  This is a corrugated iron structure originally built on the property of one of our members and also by our members.
