The New Apostolic Church
SEA Music School founded in 1999 held its annual concert in the Musaion
Auditorium at the University of Pretoria on Sunday afternoon, 23 August
2009.
In order to give the
students exposure, the school hosts an annual concert to celebrate their
achievements and to give them a feeling of belonging. The concert was
also accompanied by the Gauteng choir and orchestra. They
performed several items on their own but also served as support for the
students to showcase their talents to the 500 people who attended,
including District Apostle Kitching, the Apostles, Bishops, District
ministries, and their wives, of the greater Gauteng region.
As part of the
curriculum each student that enrolls with the Music School is given an
opportunity to enter for both practical and theory examinations through
various academic institutions in the region. There are also internal
evaluations done with each student bi-annually by their relevant
teachers.
Presently the music
school teaches the following instruments, namely, piano and organ,
violin and cello, silver flute and all brass instruments which are all
taught by professional music teachers in the region who are contracted
to the Music School.
