Chief Apostle
Leber visited Madagascar for the first time on the weekend of 15-16 September
2007. He conducted a service in the eastern part of the island, during which he
also transferred responsibility for the country over to the South East Africa
District Church. Before then Madagascar was looked after by District Apostle
Michael Ehrich and ministers from Southern Germany.
Two apostles are
active in Madagascar: Apostle Albert Rasolo and Apostle Fally Randriakasy. They
are assisted by 8 district elders and 36 district evangelists who look after the
366 congregations.

First Meetings and Service in Madagascar by District Apostle
Kitching
District Apostle
Kitching made his first visit as District Apostle for Madagascar on 16-19
November 2007. On the Saturday he conducted a meeting with the 2 apostles and 8
district elders that look after the country. On the Sunday District Apostle
Kitching conducted a service in Ampitatafika, situated about 100 km south from
Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar. This congregation has a membership of
350. On the Monday, 19 November, the District Apostle closed off his visit with
a meeting with the apostles and administrative staff of Madagascar before he
returned to Johannesburg.
