Outing for Senior Members
On Saturday, 25 February 2006, the Senior members of Polokwane District went on
a special outing with Apostle Wilson. They visited “The Ranch Lion Kingdom”, a
farm situated 30 km south of Polokwane, and which belongs to the Protea Hotel
Group. One of our brothers, Barry Newman, works at the ranch and took the group
on a tour through the farm.
Four years ago the ranch imported 11 lions from Zimbabwe to be used in special
documentaries and films. The pack of lions in the mean time has grown to 41.
They are well cared for on the farm and 7 cubs, whose mothers are short of milk,
are bottle fed.
