Ruby Anniversary

On Sunday, 12 February 2017, brother Peter and sister Mary-Anne Fortune received their 40th wedding anniversary blessing in the congregation of Wavecrest.
In tune with the Bible word they received for the blessing: 1 John 3:22 – “And whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.”  The couple overcame many challenges which they ascribe to good communication and joint decision making. Other pointers for them for a blessed marital life are: respect, having your best friend as your life partner and most importantly, putting God first in their lives. These humble pioneers in the congregation are blessed with 3 daughters, 2 sons-in-law and 4 grandchildren.

On  Sunday  12  February  2017, brother  Jullie   &  sister  Lissie  Peers  received  a  blessing  on  the  celebration  of  40  years  of  married  life from  their  Rector,  Priest  James  Eksteen. It  was  a  blessed  day  where  the  couple  was  given  a  special  Word  for  this  occasion  found  in  Psalm 40:5.
The  couple  did  not  wait long  after  they  met  to  tie  the  knot. They  have  fond  memories  of  their  time  as  a couple  together and  declared  their  undying  love per  letter  the  day  of  their  anniversary. The  Peers  family  opened  their  hearts   to  the  members  of  La Motte, when  they  made  a  Nu-Tec  Building  available  for  divine  services  and  activities. Their Ruby Wedding Anniversary blessing  could  happen  right  in  their  yard. The congregation was invited for a  brunch  and  the children received some goodies.

On 7 January 2017, Priest Alliston Mangel and his wife Glynis celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Shepherd Johnson held the divine service in the Tafelsig Congregation on 15 January 2017 and bestowed the wedding anniversary blessing on them. Their union has been blessed with two children and two grandchildren. Through all circumstances in their lives the driving force for them has been prayer. The Lord always provides, and that is what they have experienced throughout their lives. They thank our Heavenly Father for His protection and grace, also the ministers who shared this journey with them and cared for them.
