In Memory of Apostle Marema (i.r.)

Apostle Simon Marema (i.r.)
1937-2009

Apostle Simon Marema (i.r.) sadly passed away on 25 July 2009. The apostle was born in 1937 near Naboomspruit and was baptised and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. He came into contact with the New Apostolic Church while working at a printing factory, where he received testimony from two fellow employees. He was adopted in 1969.

Blessed with the ability to speak many languages, he was ordained as a bishop in 1984, and was ordained an apostle by Chief Apostle Urwyler during the Pentecost service in Heilbronn, West Germany on 18 May 1986.

He was retired by Chief Apostle Fehr during a service in Tafelsig, Cape Town, on 12 October 2003, serving 17 years as an apostle of Jesus Christ. The funeral service was conducted by District Apostle Kitching in Dinwiddie on 31 July 2009.
