The Youth of the Reiger Park District visited the “Door of Hope” children’s home in Glenvista on National Youth Day (16 June). The home looks after unwanted and abused babies, as well as young children up to the age of 6 years. Thereafter the children are placed in suitable homes, mostly overseas. It proved to be an emotional experience and a real eye opener for the Youth. They donated toiletries, cereals, milk, and clothing to the home, and more importantly, their love. It was also discovered that one of the volunteers at the home attends Mondeor congregation.
