50 Years!

On Wednesday, 12 March 2008, Danville Congregation celebrated 50 years of existence. District Apostle Kitching visited the congregation to take part in the celebrations. The congregation started in a primary school hall in Danville and when a piece of ground was acquired to build a church on, many brothers and sisters helped with the construction work. It took a period of 40 Saturdays to complete the church building. The church was inaugurated by District Apostle Kreunen in 1958.

Many old faces were at the service, some of whom were baptised in the church 50 years ago. Shepherd Danie Nel is the rector of the congregation and has the support of 4 priests and 5 deacons. The congregation has 249 active souls that attend services.
