On Saturday morning, 13
March 2010, 120 Confirmands of the Kimberley area began arriving
at Diskobolos Military Base. They were accompanied by Bishop
Bhana, as well as their rectors and district leaders.

After arrival and
registration they were divided into groups, played games, and
did an obstacle course at the sports field. After lunch the
Confirmands had a short choir practice, led by one from among
their own ranks.
The groups then rotated to
various presenters who stressed that the confirmation vow had
three components, namely: commitment, surrender and
responsibility, and that these could be measured by the
level of sincerity, honesty, openness, respect and trust
in their relationship with the triune God.
The service on Sunday, which
was attended by the parents as well, was conducted by Bishop
Bhana who read a textword taken from John 15:14: “You are my
friends if you do whatever I command you.”
After the service the
Confirmands had a sort of treasure hunt in which they discovered
that they already have treasures within their various talents
and gifts.
Thereafter the groups
shouted a war-cry and motto by which they can pursue their
lives.
After lunch they reluctantly
left for home.
