The Chief Apostle Schneider visits South East Africa District Church

Chief Apostle Schneider arrived in Johannesburg on Friday evening, 29 November 2013 for his visit to the South East Africa district church. The Chief Apostle together with resident District Apostle Mkhwanazi, the invited District Apostles Nadolny , Lubasi and Ndandula, 11 apostles and 15 bishops travelled to the ZK Matthews Hall, which is situated on the premises of the University of South Africa [UNISA], based in the beautiful city of Pretoria, to attend a choral event on Saturday afternoon, 30 November 2013.

The Chief Apostle and his guests were entertained with a mixture of some beautiful musical renditions by our Gauteng concert choir and orchestra as well as a very vibrant Sunday school choir. Some of these items performed were from well-known composers, such as GF Handel (Holy art Thou), J. Haydn (Sing the Lord), one of our very own talented composers, the late Ivan Diedericks  with the powerful composition ‘The Lord God Reigneth’ bringing to memory the many great composers in our church during the 150 year anniversary celebration.
The audience also enjoyed the Christmas Festival composed by L. Anderson performed by our Concert orchestra as well as a powerful organ recital done by one of our esteemed organists, Dc Theo van Wyk, performing ‘Sortie’, composed by Louis Lefébure-Wely.  This beautiful event was concluded with great applause by our Chief Apostle and guests, his closing prayer and address, preparing all for the festive divine service the next morning.

This first Advent Divine Service of 2014, conducted by our chief apostle at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, on Sunday morning 01 December 2013, was also the first Advent service of our chief apostle in his ministry. The divine service was audio-visually transmitted to our entire district church, which includes the South Eastern provinces of South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, Madagascar and the Indian Ocean Islands. This divine service was translated into Portuguese (Mozambique) and French (Indian Ocean Islands) for our members to fully enjoy this festive event in their local languages. The Chief Apostle called the District Apostle’s Nadolny (Germany) and Ndandula (Zambia) to serve along during this service.   During the divine service he retired 3 Apostles, including our Apostle Mwape from SEA and Apostles Mulopo and Sweta from Zambia and the Bishop Muchimba from Zambia.
The chief apostle then ordained Bishop Lindunda and District Elder Liywali as apostles and District Elder Kalumiana as bishop, all for the Zambia region. After enjoying a final luncheon with his guests the Chief Apostle Schneider departed from the O R Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg on Sunday evening.
